Future developments

Postby vianney17 » Sun Jan 10, 2010 9:04 pm

Hello,

I'm really interested in your software. I followed the various requests of members.
.
Many developments are planned. If I buy the software now, should I buy it back later to benefit from these future developments?

I am concerned in particular by ebooks covers

Thank you for your reply

Hello,
Thank you for your question!
Our upgrade policy allows all software users get a free upgrade to the following major version during next 12 months after the order.
Thus you will be eligible for a free upgrade to version 2.0 that will be released very soon as a public beta.

The upcoming version 2.0 will include some major changes like: new objects, new templates, basic SVG import and more.

Here is an image rendered in version 2.0:

Any plans in 2.0 for spiral and or comb bound and notebooks? Also features like stacked books, scattered, page curl and partial open book would be nice.

There are a lot of great plans and unfortunately limited resources. With a new built in engine it is possible to add any kind of 3D object. Objects just have to be designed.

Thanks for this version 2.0 and especially for the iPod template.

Would it be possible to have a computor monitor (or even a few of them) as a template, please.

What do you mean by "With a new built in engine it is possible to add any kind of 3D object. Objects just have to be designed." ?

Alain,
Basically, new engine allows us to import 3DS models into the software. So if you have a model of a computer monitor designed by you in 3DS, MAX or C4D format, then we can try to include it into the next release of the software.
